Terminal Blues

I've also looked at the Wyndmail application & I like its tight integration.
I only wish that perhaps the software firm had made a general purpose
SLIP/PPP/Email reader. I would without hesitation buy such a product.

I also second Dean's frustration re the lack of terminal programs. Many
thanks to Ray Schuler for his OgComm which allows me to dial into a Unix
shell account.... however, the lack of vt100 emulation makes access to many
resources on the net difficult (if not impossible). I remember some time ago
talk of another thrust in this area, an application by the name of Renocom,
but nothing has materialized. It seems to me that the only thing left to
include in any of the available terminal programs is a terminal emulation
engine (to interpret vt100,220 etc. codes) and a way of fitting the 80*25
screen onto the Ogo (either by shrinking the text or by scrolling). Is this
more difficult than I assume ? I'm a programmer (when the need arises), but
I have no access to Borland C/Geos SDK.

I've tinkered with several DOS based terminal programs, but all blank the
screen when they communicate with the modem. Has anyone had any luck with
such alternatives ? Although a native Geos terminal application would be
ideal, I would settle for a DOS based one that doesn't blank the screen
(most tinker with the DTR which is used by the OGo display).

I've also heard talk of Nettamer working for some people. I'd looked at it
once but, it is rather large and I don't have a SRAM card (yet!). How well
does Nettamer work for those who use it ?

Has anyone ever tried Geocom (from Geoworks' desktop Geos) with and Ogo ?
