serial pinout

Hello,
I've found the following pinout for the OG:
1 GND
2 RX
3 TX
4 DTR
6 DSR
7 RTS
8 CTS
9 RING
10 CD

is it right? And which is the pin 1 in the OG?
Do I just need to build a simple cable with my pc's rs232 to transer
files? (well... of course I need the programs...)
