corrupt ITL file

Hi,
I want to thank everybody who replied to my question about
Flashram cards.
Now I have a question about the new WIN95 version of the
Installer software. I have had some problems with it.
As soon as the connection to my Omnigo was established it
complained about my ITL file being corrupt. Then it said it
was attempting to repair it. When I tried a second time the
same message appeared. So I guess the attempted repair
wasn't succesful. At that point I didn't try to install
anything anymore.
Julie Collins wrote in her message:
"I recently purchased a 4 Meg card from MagicRam and have
had no problems. I loaded their drivers and started backing
up and transferring files to it immediately. The only thing
is the tech support person said I had to use their Installer
program instead of the one on the web. I saw the new
Install Manager out on the web, and installed it on my PC.
I started it, and it said I had a corrupt ITL file on the
OGO, so I backed out. I figured it was trying to write over
the drivers loaded by MagicRam."
Since I don't have a MagicRam card (or any kind of driver
installed), the problem cannot be some sort of conflict with
that.
My questions:
-------------
What is an ITL file (what's it for)?
Can it get corrupt (how)?
Is this version of Installer (Win95 version) not be trusted?
Is the Installer-message serious or can I just ignore it?
