The first time I tried to use a PCMCIA modem with my ogo it worked fine,
except for the fact that it killed the batteries pretty quickly. I've been
using an external since then. It was not an outdated 14.4. Don't always
believe what you've heard.

Using an ethernet card would be pretty complicated. Would a PC running GEOS
be able to jump on a LAN with Windows or anything else? Even if so, network
configurations are no easy task, I wouldn't expect a $350 186 machine with
400 K RAM to do that. Ditto for sound, SCSI, or whatever else you want to
do with a PCMCIA.

I have had problems with the modem, and I do with it were easier, but you
can't expect miracles. It's only technology.
