PCMCIA modem

Hi ALL
I got to try a PCMCIA modem card 14400 into my ogo100, but the ogo
hanged and gave a message that the battery os empty and it wasn't, I
tried again and then the same, so I tried to the last time, the ogo
hanged and nothing could restore it except a hard reset which lost
everything, what can I do about the pc acard modem
