I have had Omnigo hinge problem, although I think the original cause was a cut
in the hinge from a previous HP repair. When I unfolded the Omnigo using the
small hinge all the time, a crack propagated from the point that had been nicked
by the repair. I sent it back and HP replaced the screen (which is part of the
small hinge) for no charge. If I don't need to fold it back to tablet style, I
now just unfold it halfway using the large, more robust hinge. I have had no
further problems. By the way, if the hinge does start to malfunction and cause
damage to the wire ribbon connecting the two halves, it will stop functioning
and you will lose data. Just speaking from experience.
