Actually, it doesn't get much cheaper than $99. Geoworks doesn't even make
money at that price (at least I don't think we do).

GEOS uses DOS to access files and directories. It uses BIOS to do printing,
usually. On the OmniGo GEOS might access the port directly. With Ensemble you
have the choice of DOS, BIOS, or direct. On the OmniGo you don't have a
choice, and I can't guess which one it uses.

I write software for the GEOS-based PDAs (Zoomer, OmniGo, etc.) Also couple
for the desktop.

I've bought software in the past. I've also tried to sell my software in
the past. It didn't work too well. You either have to write killer apps or
have better marketing skills. Either way I ended up just giving away the
software because I wanted people to enjoy what I created. [Thanks for all the
