According to an article in PCWeek, MS will unveil Pegasus on
September 9th. I have no idea whether HP would also unveil their
Pegasus-based PDA then.

The following is an excerpt from a posting to the palmtops newsgroup:

I found the following paragraph in the
July/August copy of Pen Computing, in Tim's Personal Devices Journal.

"Hewlett Packard
According to sources, Hewlett-Packard (HP) has decided that they will put
a lot of design effort into a Pegasus unit. Apparently, the hardware is
a little bigger than the OmniGO and has a much improved screen. HP is
one of the few manufacturers currently expected to put two Type II PC
Card (PCMCIA) slots in their unit. I for one feel that this is a very
important feature. Being able to leave your mass storage in the unit
when you use a wireless modem or paging card suits me just fine."

Infoworld also reported today that Pegasus will run most apps
written in Visual Basic and a skinny version of internet Explorer.
Pegasus is also supposed to have a Word Compatible WP,
Excel Compatible Spreadsheet and email capabilities.

I don't know if this is the proper place to discuss this since we don't yet
know if it would be called an OmniGo :-)
