Actually I believe that Chris S. summarizes things very well. On the
whole I do not see people bitching about things that the OG should
not be expected to do. I have hacked with DOS mode a lot, but I
consider that merely a plus or even a "hobby". The only reason that
the capability exists is that Geos needs a rudimentry OS to get its
environment functioning. Rather the universal item which seems to
resurface again and again is the lack of connectivity.
Chris M. states that he can transfer data among various PC's
with ease, but what can one do with it? The thing which I beleive is
most frusturating about this is that the most straightforward
solution is a simple matter of having the CP software be capable of
converting all of the files to a "usable" format.
I also have noticed that the "harsh" words re: HP come from
long-time consumers of HP products who know what they are capable of.
I myself am sitting within arm's reach of a Scanjet 4C, an HP48GX,
HP41C (with opt card reader, optical wand, various "pacs), HP28S,
IR printer for the aforementioned handhelds and HP 560C.
I was literally expecting to see v1.1 of the connectivity pac
within 30 days at no charge; which could address most of the issues (albeit it
would not be in the prettiest way).
