I wonder what the timing was for the Connectivity Pack, the USR purchase
of Palm, the decision to develop the Pilot, etc. Because the Conn-Pack
was written by Palm and certainly looks like an early stab at what grew
into the Pilot system (Palm OS).
I also wonder, now that USR/Palm is a direct competitor in this market,
whether HP is now stuck with nowhere to turn for improvements in the
Connectivity Pack.
HP *used* to develop all this sort of stuff on their own; sometimes it
was awful and sometimes it was phenomenal. This is where working with
third parties will get you, I guess.
