Well, I'm not getting that dialog, AND, the alarm tone is not
sounding. This only happens once in a while (maybe once a week), and I
can't seem to come up with the conditions to reproduce it. I worked
with HP support on it the first time and ended up exchanging the unit.
It's still happening with the second unit. I haven't connected a
serial cable to it yet, so I know that it's not a problem of me
diddling with the files. The alarm is turned on in the Sound part of
the Setup. And the alarm is checked on the appointment. HP support has
been Excellent so far, but I appear to be the only one suffering this
problem.
