Ways HOW TO print

I use printing with the Omnigo mostly for databases (adresses, activities=
...).
To print these there are two ways:

With OMNIPRN:
Get OMNIPRN and a serial cable (BTW avoid bying the Connectivity Pack - t=
he =

only useful feature is hotsynch and there are other ways). Start the OGO =
setup
and set the COM Port Speed to recommended 9600 (others possible, must mat=
ch =

OMNIPRN setting). Start OMNIPRN on your PC (correct, this is no Omnigo =

program) and provide COM port and speed. Start printing in your applicati=
on.

These method has some serious disadvantages:
* Usage seems to be dependend on speed (19200 produces more garbage than =
9600)
and on battery life (more garbage with lower batteries). This is a seriou=
s =

restriction for printing with the OGO at all=21
* You cannot format the database output (e.g. no way to receive a table).=

* It=B4s slow.
* If you really need to print from your OGO be careful to have FULLY char=
ged =

batteries at hand (fully charged 1.2V don=B4t work very well).

I chose the second way: Print from your PC=21
Using GDBIO you can convert the GDB files into comma separated text. This=
may =

be imported to nearly any other program (e.g. Excel), formatted as you li=
ke, =

sorted for everything - and printed fast and secure. I don=B4t consider t=
his to =

be more inconvenient than printing with the OGO itself (it is a good =

opportunity to backup files on your PC) and it produces the expected resu=
lts.
