The Transfer app will only "back up" the data files to the SRAM card. To make
the OG use the data files on the SRAM, you must move them using a file
manager or a software that puts them in the correct "mirrored" directory on
the card.

The SRAM battery will last almost two years. Replace it once per year to be
safe.
The SRAM card will probably make no noticeable difference in the life of the
main AA batteries.
