You *CAN'T* edit geos.ini while geos is running. So you have two
options:
1) you use DOS and OgMode using edit.com, or
2) this is easier, make a new file in the root dir, called geos2.ini,
and copy the contents of geos.ini, and paste them into this file. Make
any changes you want, and then save. Now open up your autoexec.bat
file, and right before the line 'geos', write 'copy geos2.ini geos.ini'.
