I would have concerns as most of the problems that I hear of people
having with the SRAM/Flash cards (i.e. having to format on other
machines, etc) seem to point to a much lower level of power being
supplied to the card.
I would expect that the card in question was probably designed
with the thought of a laptop and AC adaptor in mind. Were any
special drivers/utilities supplied with the card?
