1 MB refurb SRAM card problems

Hi,
I've been trying for two days now to use the 1M Sram card with my
omnigo. When I insert the card it asked me to format it so I did, but
when I turn off the power and turn it on later it asks me to format it
again and again everytime I turn back on the power. After the the
formating the card works until I turn it off and back on again. Is
there something wrong with the card? Any help?
