Just out of curiousity, I was wondering if there are any other
PDA/Organizers in existence (for the U.S. market) which offer both
an integral keyboard and pen text entry (graffiti, h/w recog., etc),
besides the OGO100?
I am in a situation where I have an OGO except with no pen
capabilities. While trying to polish out some scratched with a special
plastic compound, some liquid seeped under the edge of the display.
Although it was a miniscule amount, the screen layers are apparently not
sealed at the edges. It quickly spread across a portion of the screen.
I immediately pulled the batteries in hopes that the liquid would
evaporate in time. To my dismay the liquid and or lower surface of the
plastic laminate quickly oxidized so that it looked like an old bottle of
silver nitrate. After things appeared dry, I discovered (with no amount
of surprise) that the touch screen did not function. I finally removed
the laminate and cleaned the residue off of the plastic so that at least
the screen was clean. Of course if the screen was not toast already
fracures in the foil perimeter assured it. In short it now looks fine,
and seems to operate fine, but no touch-screen. (BTW the screen looked
awesome with the plastic laminate removed!!)
In short I am torn between replacing the OGO or doing without.
