I usually have the OG open holding the keyboard side with my left hand and
writing with the pen with my right. Since there is no graffiti date
shortcut, I often have to rotate the screen to push the date key. Also it
can be troublesome entering my password with the pen. Having the keyboard
available would be nice, but the screen won't rotate until after you enter
the password.

No, the keyboard is disabled (except for the on/off button) when the
screen is rotated.. probably to prevent one from hitting keys mistakenly
when your using it like a notepad. Any reason why you want the keyboard to
work when the screen wass rotated?
