IMPEX-questions

Hello!
I was just browsing through the SDK-docu, finding the description of the
impex-filters.
Thus these three questions gathered in my mind:
1) Is there some public-accessible source-code for writing impex-filters?
I might want to write some "simple" Bitmap-Importfilters, Unix-Text-
file-IMPEX, ... .
2) Since only "text", "graphic" and "font" are defined, the need for other
impex-filters-ids is obvious. (fm-music (midi,cmf,...), digi-music (wav,
voc,...), ...) Is there a place for registering future id-definitions,
www.geoworks.com, e.g. ? Or do we have to hope that every programer
publishes his extensions via this mailing-list?
3) Does the "font"-impex-filter-id mean, that the "nimbus-font-driver" is
"only" an impex-filter? This would allow to convert some
Linux-font-drivers to Geos since they're published with source.
