For the record, the code I used for the icons is directly from the appicon
demo; the only difference I recall is that I didn't put in all of the
recommended icons (they used six).

Someday someone needs to write a better icon editor, one that can be released
to non-developers, will show you the entire contents of your token database,
and will allow you to remove unused icons.

Me, I'm off to spend a week in California at the Unicode conference.
