Marcus,

Which version of the SDK are you running? The heapspace tool has
undergone some revamping recently, and it could be that you are
using a down-level version. I am using heapspace with no crashes
at all.

Are you using the OmniGo SDK? If so, did you know that in PCGEOS\TCL
there is heap.tcl, and also heap.new -- if you haven't already,
rename heap.tcl ==> heap.old, and heap.new ==> heap.tcl. This should
improve your use of the heapspace command.

Finally, in the root directory of the CD-ROM, there is a README.TXT
file. At the end of that file there is a description of the heapspace
tool and how to use it. It is true that the value that the heapspace
command gives you may not be correct -- but it will be overestimated
(assuming you're using heap.new). The note in README.TXT explains
why, and how to correct it.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Paul.
