It has already been discussed that xpress is changing its data stream
effective June 1. It has also ben discussed that there are new software
products to deal with the data stream. One of the new features described
in the foldout brochure is "clipping folders".
So, my question. Has anyone received the new software and does this
feature allow you to extract the text of selected items to disk? My reason
for asking is I am still looking for a way to get extracted items into
my campus only news feed (ala USENET). So, my hypothesis is: instead of
spending many hours writing/rewritting software to parse the data stream,
can I use their software for this purpose and then just worry about the
transfer of the extracted files to my news machine?
Hope there is some interest. Happy xpressing.
