Actually, the language that they gave me (which I refused to sign since I
had reverse engineered the protocol already) was much worse than that: It
said that you couldn't sell or distribute anything unless they approved --
not a QA question, but they demanded 100% control.

It would seem that they now believe that they are going to make their real
money selling the software instead of the service. A BIG mistake, imho.
