Shortly, you will receive a nine part csplit uuencoded compressed cpio archive
which represents my current collection of X*press software put together from
what I could make of the various diffs that have been floating around.
Some of the files are pretty much straight pass-through, as I either did not
need to use tham, or they were for other platforms than my SVR3 Unix system.
I have placed all the files in the distribution under sccs source code control
so that I can track the changes as they may occur. As long as it doesn't get
too crazy, I can try to maintain the code with changes as they are submitted as
well.
So far as I know, only the rnews code distribution did not make it into this
version. It appeared that the rnews code was a predecessor to what got picked
up. Really unfortunate that contributors did not sign their work, and that the
diffs didn't get dated. That would have made my effort easier.
I still have some performance efforts to do on the code, but did want to make
this version available for other platforms and perhaps get a buglist going.
Once you have received the archive and made it available to the server, I
expect you will be able to broadcast its availability.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
