Speaking for myself, I'd love to see an OS/2 client. There is a simple
news system that originated on MS-DOS and has been ported to OS/2, called,
appropriately enough, SNews. It requires UUPC/Extended and is suitable
only for leaf-nodes (i.e., there are no facilities for feeding another
site.) It is simple to install (once UUPC is running) and has a point
and shoot interface similar to nn. I'd think that adding X-Press reading
capability to this software would be relatively simple now that the
format is known. Note that most, if not all, the GNU development tools
now run on OS/2 (gcc,emacs,etc.)
