To retrieve digests (or anything else in the archive), you send mail to
xpress-archive@csd.mot.com with one or more commands in the message body.
Included below is the help file for the server:
=== begin help file ===
Welcome to the X*PRESS archive server.
The server recognizes the following commands:
path <path> This lets the requestor override the address that would
normally be extracted from the header.
help This is equivalent to the command `send help'.
index This is equivalent to the command `send index'.
send <file> Send the specified file. Only one file per send command.
quit Nothing past this point is interpreted. This is provided so
that the if your signature contains a line that looks like
a server command, you can still use the server without
getting a bogus response.
A few notes:
- The index is an directory of titles. If you want to see the sizes and
modification dates of files, request the file "ls-lR".
- You can place commands in either the subject line or the body of your mail
message. Place only one command per line.
- The server considers a # as the start of a comment; everything from one to the
end of its line is ignored.
- If there are no requests in the message, the server responds as if the
message had a help request in it.
- Send commands that are rejected by the service program are returned to the
requestor in a separate message.
Send your server requests to xpress-archive@csd.mot.com.
Send questions or problems to xpress-archive-request@csd.mot.com.
