AC/Power and batteries questions

Hi. I have a couple questions to all the Ultralite owners out there:

1) Does anyone know if there is a place to get an extension cable for the AC
power adapter? The section that goes from the UL to the power block is
really short, so I'm always balancing it on my leg.

2) Does NEC still do battery replacements? If so, what are the
prerequisites for getting a replacement?
