Thanks for the information. You might explain your "dc in" jack - the only
one of its kind is the one Brian Smithson described years ago.
If you figure out the appropriate pins on the mini-DIN power supply,
and use those for the external battery, be sure to connect your charger often

Has anybody "lost" that battery due to age yet? If so, what is a suitable
replacement? Nothing commercial, except the NEC battery, would fit
internally. And this battery is NOT optional, for running the NEC,
it is always required to avoid loss of all RAM memory.
