Mail-in battery suggestion

Hello all UL users:

I have been reading some of the comments about the NEC battery recall with
some interest. I am curious as to why NEC hired a marketing firm to handle the
matter on their behalf. Anyways, I too was somewhat hesitant to send off my
battery in their prepaid mailer uninsured, but my postmaster suggested that I
obtain a Certificate of Mailing which cost .50. It doesn't offer any sort of
liability or insurance but it will prove that you mailed something to the N.Y.
PO box on a given date. The good part is that you can use their Business Reply
mailer and thus it only costs you .50. I am very curious as to why it is
taking so long to get things done.
