I sent my U-lite in on November 16th (soft pack upgrade) and haven't
received it back yet. Even though their letter says five to seven working
days, it looks like it could be a while longer. The folks at NEC (yes the
company itself) don't seem to know about the battery recall. The only
response I got was "and you're sure it wasn't a Versa you sent back???" Kind
of amusing, but after the third transfer...

The people handling the recall said that the response to the recall
has been overwhelming NEC. My check was cut on 12/2 but is still floating
around the post office. Maybe I'll see it before Christmas. :-)
