I use a very small version of vi (a .com version w/ no help and a few
reduced features), which I found on wuarchive. I also have used uw on the
ultralight for multiple sessions. Since most UNIX systems now have sz/rz,
though, I have pretty much abandoned Kermit.

For software on the net in general I recommend wuarchive.wustl.edu,
which has a plentitude of software that has no graphics requirements (or is
only CGA if any).
