Bad Kermit

I finally got enough free time to sit down and write some scripts
for simplifying some things I do regularly, and it seems like the
MSKermit I've been using is corrupt/bad. Nothing seems to work
properly coming from a script...

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find an early/small version
of MSKermit around. Can someone send me a copy?

On a related tangent, what other primarily-mainframe-access software
is worth considering (Unix), has anyone collected a good stock of
PC Unix-oid editors/utils, and where can I find ULite-friendly
game/distraction software? Suggestions by mail will be summarized
later.
