There are various programs for modifying DOS file attributes. It's
pretty stupid that MSDOS itself didn't provide one. Packages like
Norton Utilities will do it, as will a variety of public domain
programs (ATTR being one of them).

Alternatively, you can reformat the RAMcard. Copy off everything that
you want to keep, reformat the card, and then put it all back. Crude
but effective.
