UltraLite serial cable question

This is a repeat letter -- It was previously forwarded to the list, but I
received no reply.

My Ultralite does not seem to want to print serially. Laplink works fine
with most machines (I only have occasion to use it with 9-pin serial ports on
the desktop end), which is to say I have never had it fail.

However, on examining the 25-pin side of the Ultralite serial connector
cable, I note that there are 9 pins (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,20,22) and that pin 1 looks
like it was broken off or shoved in.

My question is this: Is this flush pin 1 normal on the cable? If no,
where can I get a replacement serial cable? If yes, what does it take to
print to a serial printer?

Come on, people, all I ask is that you take a look at your serial cable
and reply, please! Even a pinout of the serial cable would help.
