My Ultralite

I just left my ultralite with the "contrast" switch all the way to the right
for about 10 minutes while I left to get pizza, and when I returned
the screen seems to have gotten screwed: there are five vertical "bands"
of differing brightness, and there's no way to get a good screen out of it.

I haven't seen posts asking about this; will it fix itself after a while
(It's been 15 minutes...), or what should I do? It is under warranty
(and insured for $2000), and quite frankly, I'm quite tempted to find
another $1300 laptop (assuming I get back what I paid) and not have
to deal with the CGA screen and limited storage space, as much as I love
this machine's size and weight!
