Dead AC Adapter

My Ultralite AC adapter died.

I am currently debating buying:

a. a factory serviced unit ($220.00);

b. a new one ($299.00);

c. another Ultralite with a another AC adapter ($599 - $699).

Has anybody had their AC adpater die on them?

Has anybody had to replace their AC adapter? Cost? Dealers?

Any suggestions?

Q. what do you call a Ultralite without a AC adapter?
