Check out "slim" recently posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc.
Seems to work fine on the UL. Great if you have a lot of data files
(unfortunately I don't, still the pklited version is only 14K, resident 75K).
Catches are: needs enough free disk space to hold uncompressed version of
compressed files in use, needs to be re-run after file modified (not a big
deal), compression for executables not as good (or fast as) pklite.

Still, if you have large or small data files of any kind it seems worthwhile.
Its cheaper than stacker.

PS: I suggest folks use a 1 sector/cluster size (as per my mod earlier).
I've been using it for months now and it has caused no problems and saved
space.
