runtime creation of simple objects

Hi there,

the new facilities for having labels in graphics are a neat idea for
diagramming applications - however, it still requires a licensed home
stack for users to be able to create objects at run time. Currently, I
get around this by having a whole load of hidden objects already created
and show them as needed. This is what I consider a sub-elegant solution.

How about removing the license requirement for the creation of graphic and
image objects at runtime. That would still prevent anyone creating a
meta-MetaCard and putting MC out of business (which nobody wants!) but it
would make developing a graph editor a lot simpler.

While I'm on the subject - why does MC grind to a halt after creating
dozens of objects under script control? Is there a practical limit to the
number of buttons and things you can have on a card?

Best wishes,

Eddy Mc Daid.
