Assuming you have an image to place on the button somewhere in your stack...
use the following:
set the icon of button <foobar> to <image ID number>
i.e.
set the icon of button "New Button" to 1868
After doing this, make sure you don't delete this image from your stack. I
would put it on a card in the stack that you (the user) never traverses to or
hide it in a group (background).
