I have a strange problem that I hope some of you can give a pointer
or two on.
In a Metacard stack we run as part of the user interface of our
system, there is a graphics title on its main card. There is a also a
flick file that plays on the main card. The stack runs fine on most of
our systems. I put the stack on our new demo system. The graphics title
shows up as a piece of snowy block on the screen. The flick file would
not play at all. I tried to play the flick file without going through
the stack by type "play videoclip ..." in the message box. I got error
"Play: Cann't read from file". Meanwhile, if I run the stack on the demo
system, but set the display to another machine, everything runs just
fine.
I am very puzzled by this. I suspect this has something to do with
X setup. I hope somebody has run into this before.
Best regards,
Greg
