I think many people here are blowing this out of proportion. MetaCard
is a very good product, the updates are made on a timely basis,
Scott and Co at MetaCard are extremely responsive to user issues,
which I think can all be commended. The fact that Beta code
has a time bomb, is not suprising, in fact this is common practise
throughout the industry, and a large % do not advertise the fact
(well not obviously). Where I have a problem is end-user's
using Beta code from any vendor as frontline, mission critical
application delivery. It is Beta and not final release. Certainly
it may get used, because it is the only way around problems
in existing versions, but then this should be done only after
consultation with the software developer. I think any other
approach means you are skating on thin ice!
