Expanding rehearsal is a concept from learning theory. If you wish to learn
French vocabulary, say, it is no use just looking at the word once. You must
"rehearse" the learning procedure several times. The expanding bit comes
from the idea that the gaps between rehearsals should increase exponentially.
The learning theory boys have produced optimal expanding rehearsal patterns.
