I don't know what utilities you have on your system but we have both mailx
and ELM on our HP9000 workstations. They both work well and, although ELM
is an HP product, mailx is based on UNIX standards; you probably have it
if you have UNIX. The "mailx" man-page is very long with lot's of options
and several modes. In either case, you can create your messages with any
editor and then send them on with mailx.
