- Here are some cobwebs. Most of these have been largely untouched since 1995-1997:
- zoomer: Started in 1993, it is a granddaddy of web sites, and perhaps the most complete source of information about GEOS-based personal digital devices (for whatever that's worth). It may have been be the first of its genre: a product enthusiast web site. But Geoworks lost momentum in the PDA market and never gained traction in the mobile phone market, and Palm Computing wrote their own operating system and designed their own PDA. This site hasn't been updated since 1997,
- ultralite: Not about ultralight airplanes, this site is about the original NEC UltraLite notebook computer -- via archives of the now defunct ultralite-list mailing list. The list was started in 1991 and continued until 1997.
- xpress: Not about Quark XPress, this is an archive of now defunct xpress-list mailing list. X*Press X*Change was a data service you could get on your TV
cable or Ku-band satellite receivers, through a special modem, that provided a 9600 baud feed of news and information sources. The main focus of the mailing list was to integrate these feeds into Usenet News
systems for local use (not for redistribution),
- metacard-list: I hosted the metacard-list mailing list from 1993 to 1997. Later list archives and other information is available on Metacard's FAQ page..
